5 Game-Changing Panini Press Recipes

The Panini press is a remarkable piece of equipment sitting on your kitchen counter. The name is often misleading, making most people think that it is merely a sandwich maker. The panini press is versatile and can be used to cook several dishes. Here are five recipes to get you started.

1.Grilled bacon:

You can use your Panini maker to grill bacon. All you need are some slices of bacon. If your device has a drip plate, make sure to put iitn and heat the panini maker. Arrange bacon slices on your maker without overlapping. Grill the bacon until it is thoroughly cooked. The bacon should be ready in about 10 to 14 minutes.

2. Panini Press Hashbrowns:

You will need frozen shredded potatoes 1/3 cup of olive oil, kosher salt to taste, ½ teaspoon paprika and1/4 teaspoon black pepper to make this dish. Heat the press. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Put potato mixtures on the press, without overloading the press. Close the press and cook until you get the desired crispness.

3. Panini Pizza:

Believe it or not, you can make a pizza on the Panini press. Take a piece of aluminum foil of about 6 inches in diameter and apply olive oil or cooking spray. Take fresh pizza dough and stretch out thin in a circular shape. The thinner you stretch the dough, the more thoroughly the crust cooks. Add your sauce, preferably pesto, Next, add your cheese and choice of toppings. Make sure your panini press is placed on a flat surface. Now place the foil on the panini press. Close the lid making sure the upper plate is hovering about 1 inch above the pizza. If your panini maker does not allow for adjusting the height, you can ball up some aluminum foil and use it so that the upper plate is hovering above the pizza. Grill until the dough is cooked and browned lightly. It should be ready in about 6-8 minutes. Best eaten hot out of the press.

4. Turkey Quesadilla Panini Recipe:

You will need flour tortilla, 2 deli turkey slices and a handful of shredded cheese. Preheat the panini press. Take the tortilla and sprinkle shredded cheese on one half. Now put turkey slices on the shredded cheese. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the turkey. Next, fold the tortilla in half and put in the preheated panini press. Close the rid and cook for about 30 seconds.

5. Grilled Peaches with Mascarpone Whip and Fresh Raspberry Sauce:

You need large ripe firm peaches, raspberries, sugar, mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.

Cut six large peaches in half and remove the pit. Cut the halves into three or four pieces. Switch on the Panini press, and when reached medium heat grill the peaches for 3-5 minutes each side until they are tender.

Puree 12 ounces of Raspberries with 3-tablespoon water and 1 ½ teaspoon sugar until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove the seeds. Extract as much sauce as possible.

Combine mascarpone, cream, vanilla and remaining sugar in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until medium firm. Serve warm, grilled peaches with a dollop of mascarpone whip and fresh raspberry sauce.
